The story
Annie was brought in holding one leg off the ground and trembling with pain. An X-ray showed a badly broken bone, and the vet was clear: without surgery, she would never use the leg properly again and could live in pain for the rest of her life.
The operation needed a specialist surgeon, metal implants to hold the bone in place, and weeks of careful recovery afterwards.
Surgery and recovery
With the help of supporters, Annie had her operation. Afterwards came strict cage rest, pain relief, bandage changes and slow, short walks to rebuild the muscle. It was a long and patient process, but Annie handled it bravely.
Annie today
This fundraiser has ended. The money raised paid for Annie’s surgery, follow-up X-rays and rehabilitation. She is walking on all four legs again. Thank you to everyone who gave her that chance.
