The story
Benik was found wandering alone, unable to put weight on one of his legs. He had no microchip, no collar, and nobody came looking for him. At the vet, an X-ray confirmed a fracture that needed surgery.
Benik had no owner to pay for the operation, so this fundraiser was set up to give him the treatment he needed.
A second chance
Supporters responded so quickly that the fundraiser went past its target. Benik had his operation, followed by a careful recovery with rest, pain relief and gentle exercise. Money raised above the target went towards care for other injured dogs.
Benik today
Benik has recovered and is walking normally again. This fundraiser has ended. Thank you to everyone who gave a found dog with no one a family of supporters instead.
